I actually just figured it out... crafting upgrade. Stick an exporter on your desired storage, add the item you want it to fill up with to the white list, and give it a crafting upgrade. It will keep crafting so long as there's room in that external storage. You can "remember" the ingredients in RFTools Crafter.
