You'll want to take a look at your 02 sensor and make sure you have space for a spacer (or maybe even if you can get it out), might need a 90 degree spacer (i'm not familiar with the SH forester).

Only do this on a stone cold motor. Once it pops loose remove the pipe then the socket and from below the car put the socket wrench back on the sensor and back it the rest of the way out.
